I know some of us have opened up raven, war alarm or other type of pressed case. Sometimes it can a very dangerous process and you can end up damaging the clock or slip and hurt yourself. After some thought I came up with a way to open these.
Here is a Westclox Fawn.
An many of you know the only way to open this up is to pry through the bottom and many times you cannot pry it far enough to finish the job. So you put these back up on the shelf rather than damage the case.
Here is the simple solution.
After prying the bezel ring as far as you can get it, drill a hole in the outer bezel ring and use a pair of snap ring pliers to finish the job.
Yes, I know. Its just magic |
