I owned a brown plastic (wood effect) Westclox alarm clock radio in the early 1970s.
The time was displayed on a digital "ribbon".
It was mains operated.
The radio could be detached from the clock and used separately as a "transistor radio" by sliding it off
Please does anyone have any information on this model?

I know of a model that fits your description (model #80442). It was defiantly made in the early 70’s. The case is brown plastic with a wood grain appearance. The digital “flip” clock sat on top of the transistor radio.
